Common Problems and Solutions for Bag Making Machines
I. Q: Why do bags wrinkle when passing through the intermediate rubber roller?
A: 1. Poor back-sealing cooling effect;
2. Uneven pressure on the intermediate rubber roller;
3. Excessive air pressure;
4. Too much dust on the intermediate rubber roller;
5. Back-sealing temperature too high;
6. Excessive air pressure on the feeding floating roller;
7. Film plate installed at an angle;
II. Q: Why does the film move in one direction at the front cutting roller?
A: 1. Uneven pressure on the rubber rollers causes the film to move towards the direction of higher pressure.
2. The photoelectric frame is tilted and should be kept horizontal with the front rubber roller. (When the photoelectric frame lifts the film forward, it moves outward; when it lifts it backward, it moves inward.)
3. The perforating knife is not installed correctly and is prone to warping.
4. Uneven film thickness on both sides.
5. Uneven pressure from the horizontal sealing knife; the film moves towards the side with higher pressure.
6. The film plate is tilted.
7. The middle rubber rollers are not parallel.
III. Q: Why doesn't the film adhere to the small film plate area?
A: 1. The white roller installation should not exceed the template; ideally, it should be 8mm narrower.
2. Insufficient pressure on the hammer.
3. The small hammer for film application is tilted inwards.
4. The film plate is tilted.
5. The pressure at the rubber roller should not be too high.
6. Excessive feeding tension makes film application difficult.
7. Poor tension of the film roll.
IV. Q: Why are the bags produced sometimes short and sometimes long?
A: 1. Too much dust on the photoelectric head;
2. Insufficient photoelectric sensitivity;
3. Insignificant tracking voltage;
4. Excessive sealing knife pressure;
5. Dirt on the glue roller;
6. Excessive air pressure on the feeding floating roller;
7. Excessive material release tension;
8. The longitudinal sealing knife is pressing the cloth roll too tightly;
9. The transverse sealing knife temperature is too high, causing bag wrinkles;
10. Low air pressure at the front and middle glue rollers;
11. Asynchronous feeding and pressing;
12. Excessive distance between the photoelectric head and the cutter;
13. Excessive difference between waiting time and heat sealing time;
14. Excessive speed;
V. Q: Is the front cutter skewed?
A: 1. Film is crooked;
2. Guide comb is missing or not straight;
3. Blade is angled;
4. Blade is at the apex;
5. Bags with handle holes should exit tail-first;
6. Bag diagonals are not the same length;
VI. Q: Material is stuck at the cutter?
A: 1. Guide comb is too far from the cutter;
2. Cutter is adjusted too low;
3. Bag is wrinkled or uneven;
4. Feeding is too fast;
5. Guide comb is not straight or missing;
6. Lower cutter is installed too high;
7. Bags with handle holes should exit tail-first, not head-first;
VII. Q: Air bubbles in the back seal?
A: 1. The base plate is dirty;
2. Uneven sealing pressure or uneven pressure at the four corners;
3. The base plate is off-center;
4. The silicone rubber on the base plate should not be too wide;
5. The sealing blade is not properly installed;
6. Low sealing pressure and high temperature;
7. Uneven or aged silicone rubber;
8. If air bubbles appear during operation, place a heat-sealing cloth on the base plate or slightly tilt or overlap the sealing blades;
VIII. Q: Wrinkles at the back sealing heat seal?
A: 1. Poor tension, one side of the film is loose and the other tight;
2. Uneven pressure between the cooling blade and the heat-sealing blade;
3. Uneven pressure of the heat-sealing blade;
4. Wrinkles on the heat-sealing cloth;
5. The rubber roller pulls the template at an angle;
IX: Q: False seal?
A: 1. Misalignment at the joint, one side is loose while the other is tight;
2. Thick double-layer film at the joint, causing the small shovel to be moved by the film;
3. Folded or curled edges at the small shovel on the back template;
4. Back photoelectric movement;
5. Poor tension, one side is loose while the other is tight;
6. The small shovel should not be too far from the sealing knife;
7. Incomplete lamination, single-layer edge curling;
X. Q: Leaking seam on the transparent back seal?
A: 1. Off-center cutting;
2. Outer edge too large;
3. High back tension preventing film from forming;
4. Wide back template or insufficient film forming at the template area, causing insufficient film forming on the front template;
5. Back seal knife pressed too far outward;
XI. Q: Frequent inner and outer edges appear on the bag?
A: 1. Insensitive photoelectric tracking;
2. Poor raw material tension;
3. Uneven material feeding;
4. Uneven film application;
5. Poorly installed rear white roller, wobbling left and right;
6. Film threaded onto the wrong roller (black shaft, dead shaft);
7. Excessive rear material feeding tension;
8. Smooth film surface;
XII. Q: Fixed-length photoelectric tracking not working?
A: 1. Image misalignment at the joint or excessively long joint printing surface;
2. Bag stretching;
3. Incorrect polarity;
4. Insensitive photoelectric head or excessive dust on the photoelectric head;
5. Set bag length does not match actual bag length;
6. Indistinct tracking point or no tracking point found;
7. Overly wrinkled bag;
XIII. Q: Two creases at the inner fold?
A: 1. The 3D template is not aligned with the long template;
2. The upper and lower pieces of the 3D template are not aligned;
3. The small template is too narrow compared to the large template;
4. The large template and the small template are not aligned;
XIV. Q: Why is the bag requiring airtightness leaking?
A: 1. Low temperature and low pressure;
2. The ironing cloth in the middle is misaligned;
3. Uneven film thickness;
4. The sealing blades are not aligned;
5. The speed is too high;
6. The silicone rubber is broken;
7. The silicone rubber hardness should reach 75%;
XV. Q: Why is the correction time too long?
A: 1. The film roll is not installed in the middle of the roll or is not inflated.
